Casanova Pizzaria
A highly detailed and colorful ornamental design fitted to linoleum tabletops inside the Casanova Pizzaria in Boise, Idaho.
The ornamental pattern was conceived to be large and detailed piece, which could be subdivided amongst the tables. The design revitalized, repurposed, and recombined a number of historical pattern motifs, constructed in clean, precise form—bringing the historical into the contemporary within a very specific practical frame.
The ornamental design was printed upon a linoleum sheet, which was then cut up into individual tables. Accordingly, each table is a slice of the overall design.
